Bugging the Boo.

So I recently went on a trip to Bugaboo Provincial Park, and I'm hooked.
I can't wait to spend more time there. Our one climb stay was definitely not enough.

We left late on a Wed. evening and drove 36 hours straight to Missoula, MT. In Missoula we got some well needed rest, food, and exercise. After a day we left to the bugaboos and approached in on a Saturday evening.

We woke up early Sunday morning ( 4am) to start the glacier approach and were on the technical climbing by sunrise.

For the next 27 hours we got to really know the awesome granite in the bugaboos and learned how inefficient a newly formed climbing party of three can be.

After a long dark, cold, dehydrated night of descending the kain route on bugaboo spire, we finally made it back to base camp. Seeing the sun rise twice on one climb was pretty epic.

Anyway, we ate dinner at 8am ... slept til 3pm and hiked out and were home in time for classes (just barley) .

I can't wait to go back.

here's the video:

Consensus among the old farts: you really need to work for National Geographic!
